Be Careful in Extracting Local Data into Global Information
I love the climate change debate. It shows how people who push science want to ignore it when it comes to satisfying an agenda.
Let me explain…
Even the hardest of climate change alarmists will confess that there have been periods during Earth’s existence when the temperature on the Earth was hotter or a lot colder. Even when there were no people around.
WHAT!!!
Yes the Earth has gone through cycles and at times it was hotter and at times it was colder. Even without humans managing to screw it up.
Accurate data about weather has only been kept at best the last 200 years.

Maybe someone kept track of a city temperature(local) BUT having global daily data for all major cities for the last two hundred years does not exist. You would think that this data would BUT no it does not.
Earth is about 4.5 Billion years old. Humans have been around only 300,000 years of that time.
So humans have been around for
(300,000/4,500,000,000)*100 = .0067%
of the Earth’s existence
So any predictions that we make with sparse data that we have is at best suspect and at worse intentional fraud. This is why global cooling of the 70s became global warming of the 90s AND eventually climate change.
Ask yourself, “Would I bet my life on predicting the next high or low of the graph above based on the circled area?” If there is no certainty then you should not make the bet.
Now that you are pissed off at me, I want to tell you that I love the water that I drink and clean air that I breathe. Those things are not negotiable for me.

I have often said THANK God the EPA exists. Businesses as a rule do not willingly spend money on environmental issues. They have to be forced before they will brag about being good corporate citizens.
I just don’t like that not all countries are doing their best to keep the Earth as clean as possible. I don’t understand people that willingly pollute. It pisses me off.
BUT forcing countries that are doing OK to do better and better while other countries are not lifting a finger is silly. We should not lose our livelihood while other countries are polluting. Nor should companies be able to buy credits for not investing to clean up their mess.
So are tariffs the way?
I would prefer that no external tariffs are levied BUT internal ones used. For example suppose an item is to be sold at $1 in the US. Well if your country is a polluter, we let you come into our market place BUT that $1 item once is sold, 20 cents is confiscated and used to improve world wide pollution. You get your 80 cents for the item you sold.
That is directly hitting you in the pocketbook. If the company wants to raise their price to $1.20 then just remove them from being a supplier.
